In the spectrum of wellness we at Rites of Wellness view a rite as a transition in a person's life that mark both healing and growth. Within this ideal a "reproductive rite" can be marked beginning with puberty. The reproductive system specifically in female bodied people impacts the health of the whole body from its vitality to general well being as well as the individual’s quality of life. From puberty thru post-menopause, and the birth rites of pregnancy and transition into parenthood that occur for many, these grand rites are often dismissed and/or devalued. It is our mission to heal the imbalances that may be caused physically and metaphysically by the lived experiences with the hope to create a new celebratory normal for the rites of wombhood and overall health by using plants, food and indigenous based therapies.
